EMO brochures translated into Mi'kmaw
The Emergency Management Office says two brochures have been translated into Mi'kmaw to improve emergency planning and response.
The brochures, on using 911 and preparing for emergencies, are being distributed to all 13 First Nations in the province.
Chief Leroy Denny, with the Assembly of Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq Chiefs, says having resources made available in their language will be extremely helpful to their communities.
The brochures are available online in Mi'kmaw, English, French, and Arabic at http://novascotia.ca/dma/emo/.
