Environment Canada warns Atlantic provinces might be hit with rain, freezing rain
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia and southern New Brunswick warning they may be hit by pouring rain and freezing rain later this week.
The agency says meteorologists are monitoring a weather system that could bring significant amounts of rain to the three provinces on Friday, although it says it's still too early to predict rainfall amounts.
It says that should become clearer later in the week.
A second system is forecast to give a prolonged period of freezing rain across much of the Maritimes beginning on Saturday.
