ER closures announced for four local communities

More ER closures in Tatamagouche, Pugwash, Springhill, and Parrsboro.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority has announced a number of emergency department closures over the next week due to a lack of physician and nursing coverage.

The Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Collaborative Emergency Centre in Tatamagouche will be closed from Friday, August 31 at 3:00 p.m. until Monday, Sept. 3 at 8:00 a.m.

The emergency department at the South Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Parrsboro will be closed as follows, due to no physician coverage:
Sunday, September 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Monday, September 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, September 4 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 5 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 6 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The emergency department at the North Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash will be closed as follows:
Sunday, September 2 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Monday, September 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 5 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 6 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (4 hours only)
Friday, September 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The emergency department at All Saints Springhill Collaborative Emergency Centre will be closed as follows:
Saturday, September 1 from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (overnight)
Sunday, September 2 from 8:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (overnight)
Monday, September 3 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday, September 7 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
