ER closures in Colchester and Cumberland County: August 4-10

The province has announced another round of temporary daytime closures for emergency rooms in Colchester and Cumberland County.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the emergency department at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche will be shut down as follows:
- Sunday August 4: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Monday August 5: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Wednesday August 7: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Saturday August 10: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Sunday August 11: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Government says the ER in Springhill will be closed on the following days and times:
- Sunday August 4: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Monday August 5: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Thursday August 8: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Friday August 9: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The province has announced the emergency department at the North Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash will be shut down every day except for Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In Parrsboro, the ER will be closed daily Sunday to Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

In a release, the Nova Scotia Health Authority says all four emergency departments will be open during overnight hours, with coverage provided by the paramedic, registered nurse, oversight physician team.
