The ER at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital in Tatamagouche will be OPEN on Saturday July 20.

The province has announced another round of daytime closures for four emergency departments in Cumberland and Colchester Counties this week.

The Nova Scotia Health Authority says the ER in Pugwash is closed daily today until Thursday and then on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In Parrsboro, the emergency department at the South Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre is shut down daily from today until Wednesday, and then Saturday between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.

The province says the ER in Springhill is open today, but will close Monday and Tuesday, as well as daily Thursday to Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

In Colchester County, the emergency department at the Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital Collaborative Emergency Centre in Tatamagouche is shut down Tuesday and Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Government says the closures are due to a lack of doctors, but all four departments will be available overnight, with coverage provided by the paramedic/registered nurse/oversight physician team.

Anyone in need of immediate medical attention should call 911.
