Fire destroys home in Lower Debert

A fire has destroyed a large home and attached garage in Lower Debert.

The Truro Daily News reports around 15 firefighters from the Onslow Belmont, Cobequid and Great Village departments responded to the fire on Five Point Road, which was called in shortly after 12:30 p.m on Monday.

Clair Peers, spokesman for the Onslow Belmont Fire Brigade, tells the Truro Daily the cause of the fire is not yet known.

A large motorhome, which was parked beside the residence, was also destroyed.

The Truro Daily News reports no one was injured.
