Fishing incidents in Guysborough County lead to multiple arrests
Guysborough District RCMP say they're working with the local fishing community after two incidents in the past week stemming from recent changes to fishing licences in the area.
Police responded Sunday morning to a complaint of a fishing boat deliberately ramming and damaging another vessel, though they add all those involved were fishing legally.
A suspect was arrested and is charged with mischief causing danger to life and uttering threats.
Officers then arrested three men Monday night after an assault complaint, which police say they believe is connected to the boat ramming event, and the victim was transported to hospital for treatment.
Three men, a 26-year-old and 52-year-old from Ecum Secum as well as a 27-year-old from Beaver Dam, all face a charge of assault causing bodily harm.
