Flight from Germany to Cuba diverted to Halifax airport due to 'unruly' passengers

Three men are facing charges for unruly or dangerous behaviour after a flight destined to Cuba from Germany was diverted to Halifax Stanfield International Airport.

Police responded to a complaint of three intoxicated males causing a disturbance around 6 p.m. Sunday.

RCMP, Halifax Regional Police and the Canada Border Services Agency boarded the plane where the three men, all from Germany, were arrested without incident and charged under the Aeronautics Act.

The accused, ages 26, 47, and 53, were held in custody and were scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court on Monday.
