Four-month cocaine trafficking investigation leads to arrests on South Shore
Two Lunenburg County men are facing drug charges after RCMP seized cocaine during a targeted vehicle stop.
Tuesday night's traffic stop followed a four-month investigation into cocaine trafficking.
The two men, 41-year-old Jason Ashley Dalby of Middlewood and 23-year-old Colby Gabriel Oickle of Bridgewater, were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
Yesterday, as part of the investigation, police searched two homes in Barss Corner.
Two people were arrested during the searches, but they were later released without charges.
Both Dalby and Oickle have been remanded into custody and are due back in court later this month.
The RCMP say the investigation is continuing and additional arrests and charges are possible.
