Four new pesticide spraying approvals issued, mainly in Colchester, Cumberland County
The Department of Environment has issued four new approvals for pesticide spraying covering 938 hectares.
The approvals are all for forestry, with three being aerial and one for ground spraying, and are in addition to three previously issued multi-year approvals for this year.
The bulk of the areas which will be sprayed are in Colchester and Cumberland County, with one property ID from Hants County.
The province says it only approves pesticide spraying using chemicals that have been approved by Health Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency.
Companies that want to do pesticide treatments must apply for approvals.
