Free influenza vaccines now available across Nova Scotia
Free influenza vaccines are now available across Nova Scotia, and health officials are encouraging residents to get their shots early.
The province's chief medical officer says flu shots can be administered by most pharmacists, family doctors, family practice nurses and nurse practitioners.
Dr. Robert Strang says the flu can cause serious complications for many people, including the elderly, children under five and those with chronic health conditions.
