Guns, marijuana stolen, woman tied up during Colchester County home invasion

Police say three men are sought after a woman was tied up and her house ransacked in Colchester County.

The RCMP say the suspects smashed through the patio door and entered a home on Mines Bass River Road in Montrose around 10:38 p.m. on April 12th.

Once inside, they pointed long guns at a woman, demanded she get down on the floor, and used zip ties to secure her wrists.

Police say the men stole marijuana, five long guns, and two handguns before fleeing in a vehicle towards Bass River.

The woman was alone in the home at the time of the robbery and police say she was unhurt during this incident.

She was able to contact her boyfriend after the men left, who called 911.

RCMP called in a police dog and Forensic Identification Services but have been unable to locate the suspects.

One handgun has the firing pin removed and the other is a muzzle loader.

Police say they don't believe this was a random act and are asking anyone with information regarding this incident to call them or Crime Stoppers.
