Halifax Citadel to host special ceremony to mark First World War battles

The Army museum of the Halifax Citadel is hosting a special dedication ceremony on Wednesday to mark the anniversaries of battles in Belgium that took Canadian lives in the First World War.

The Last Hundred Days Campaign, or 'Canada's Hundred Days', began on August 8th, 1918.

A century later the museum is hosting a special dedication and ceremony at the Last Steps Memorial on the Halifax Waterfront to mark the battles in the Flanders region.

The memorial arch in Halifax was the site of the deployment of over 350-thousand allied forces during the First World War.
