Halifax District RCMP arrest three impaired drivers in under an hour

Some people are still not getting the message about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Over the weekend, Halifax District RCMP arrested three drunk drivers in under an hour.

The first was a 28-year-old man from Waterville, who was arrested during a traffic stop in Lower Sackville, shortly after midnight on March 30.

About half an hour later, someone phoned 911 to report a single-vehicle accident on Highway 7 in Head of Chezzetcook, where the driver, a 28-year-old Bedford woman, was arrested for impaired driving.

And then, just over 10 minutes later, someone phoned 911 to report a single-vehicle accident in Middle Sackville.

Police say the driver, a 24-year-old man from Middle Sackville, was found to impaired by alcohol.

The Mounties say no one was hurt in either of the crashes.

All three drivers are facing impaired driving charges.
