Halifax police ask for help to find a missing teen

Halifax Regional Police are asking for the public's help to locate a missing teen.

16-year-old Merissa Purdy was last seen around 2 p.m. on December 9th in the area of Gottingen and Barrington Streets.

She was reported missing Monday, and police say they're concerned for her well-being.

Merissa is described as an indigenous girl, standing 5'3" tall and weighing around 115 lbs, with medium length red hair, and hazel eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call police.
