Halifax police say bank employee charged after allegedly stealing money from client
Halifax police have charged a woman with fraud after discovering that a Manulife Bank employee had been stealing money from a client's account.
Police say 40-year-old Gina Martinson allegedly sent unauthorized e-mail money transfers from a client's account into her personal account over several months.
She is accused of removing more than $14,000 dollars from the account between November 2016 and April 2017.
Investigators in the Financial Crime Unit of the Halifax police have charged the Martinson with fraud and she is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court next week.
