Halifax police search for suspect following pharmacy robbery

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a pharmacy robbery that took place in Halifax on Tuesday night. 

Officers responded to the Superstore Pharmacy on Barrington Street at 5:45 p.m., shortly after the robbery occurred. 

Police say a man approached the counter with his face hidden by a scarf and demanded narcotics. 

The suspect fled the store after being told by the pharmacist that they didn't have any narcotics, and police have yet to locate him. 

He is described as being white, between 23 to 25-years-old, standing 5'4" tall, with a slim build. 

Police say he was wearing a black baseball hat with a light coloured brim, blue jeans, that were faded in the front, a grey/charcoal hoodie, and was wearing what appeared to be a red and black plaid scarf tied around his face. 

He was also wearing pink mittens.
