Hampton House chicken strips recalled over bacteria concerns

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a warning about a brand of chicken strips.

JD Sweid Foods is recalling 1.5 kilogram boxes of Hampton House chicken strips as they could contain a harmful bacteria.

Officials says the oven preparation instructions on the label should read "Preheat to 204°C (400°F)."

The affected products have best before dates between Jan. 20, 2018 and Feb. 11, 2018.

The chicken strips were distributed in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Quebec and Ontario.

Officials at CFIA say there have been no reported illnesses, and anyone with the affected product should return it to the store where it was purchased.
