Heat warning issued for mainland N.S.
Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for mainland Nova Scotia as humidex values reaching 36 are expected for the next two days.
The weather agency says a very warm air mass will remain over the province until late tomorrow, when an approaching cold front will cause temperature and humidity levels to drop.
Maximum daytime temperatures near 32 degrees are expected today and will only be a bit cooler tomorrow.
Environment Canada says minimum temperatures tonight will be near 19 degrees, providing little relief from the heat.
