Historic church in North Preston reopens after extensive fire damage
A historic church near Halifax has reopened its doors after suffering extensive damage in a fire.
The Saint Baptist Thomas Church in North Preston welcomed back hundreds of parishioners at a rededication service on Sunday.
It cost nearly one million dollars to repair the building after March's devastating fire.
Reverend Wallace Smith continued holding services while the building was being renovated, but says he is relieved to return ``home.''
