HMCS St.John's sailing south with supplies in wake of Irma
HMCS St-John's is sailing south with humanitarian and disaster response supplies in the wake of hurricane Irma.
The ship is on its way to the Caribbean with engineering equipment, food, personal hygiene products, and clothing.
The Department of National Defence says the ship's plan is to deliver the humanitarian relief in the Turks and Caicos and surrounding islands.
The Canadian Forces have also sent a Hercules aircraft carrying humanitarian supplies to the British Virgin Islands.
