Homicide of Tina Barron added to Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program

The homicide of Tina Barron to the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, nearly 33 years after her body was discovered in Shubenacadie.

Barron was reported missing to police on October 4th, 1985 and her remains were discovered in a wooded area off Robinson Road just over a month later on November 6th.

Justice Minister Mark Furey says her family deserves answers as they continue to grieve, and encourages anyone with information about this crime to come forward and tell police.

Anyone with information that could result in an arrest and possible charges is asked to call the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program at 1-888-710-9090.

The reward is up to $150,000, and those who come forward with information must provide their name and contact information.

They may be called to testify in court, and all calls will be recorded.
