Human remains found off Cape Breton identified as missing NS man
A body found in the ocean off Cape Breton has been identified as a missing Antigonish man.
Fifty-four-year-old Patrick John MacDonald went missing from Ballantynes Cove in Antigonish County on January 22, 2018.
The RCMP confirm it was MacDonald's body that was found on July 18, about 10 nautical miles from Port Hood.
The Joint Rescue Coordination Centre and the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team assisted with the recovery of the remains.
An autopsy was conducted in Dartmouth.
Police continue to investigate.
