Human Rights Inquiry into Comfort Inn termination starts next week

The Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission says an independent human rights board of inquiry into the matter of Yvette Beals v. Comfort Inn in Dartmouth will begin Wednesday May 8.

According to a press release, Ms. Beals alleged she was terminated from her employment with Comfort Inn based on her disability.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Dartmouth Comfort Inn.

Board chair Donald Murray will oversee the hearing and is independent of the commission.
