Impaired driving charge laid following Mulgrave crash
A 20-year-old man from Mulgrave has been charged with impaired driving after police responded to a single-vehicle collision in the community.
Inverness District RCMP were called to the scene early Wednesday afternoon and found an 18-year-old man pinned under a truck that was on its side.
Police, EHS, and firefighters helped free the man, who was then taken to hospital in Halifax via LifeFlight with undetermined injuries.
A 20-year-old man, who was a passenger in the truck, sustained minor injuries.
Police say another truck appeared to be travelling behind the vehicle.
Although not involved in the collision, the driver of the second truck was arrested at the scene for impaired driving, and also faces charges of having a blood alcohol level above the legal limit and obstruction.
