Injured owl rescued in Upper Stewiacke

Some tree-trimming workers came to the rescue of an injured owl in Nova Scotia.

Will Shelley says they found the bird in a ditch in Upper Stewiacke on Tuesday.

Shelley says the owl appeared to be in distress, so they scooped it up and wrapped it in a jacket.

The bird, believed to be a barred owl, was taken to the Cobequid Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre in Hilden.
