Johnson & Johnson loses record breaking lawsuit alleging company failed to warn about cancer risks

Johnson & Johnson has lost a record breaking lawsuit alleging the company failed to warn consumers about potential cancer risks from talcum powder.

A Los Angeles jury has ordered the company to pay a record 417-million-dollars to a hospitalized California woman who claims its iconic baby powder causes ovarian cancer when applied regularly for feminine hygiene.

The verdict came after a Missouri jury in May awarded 110.5-million dollars U-S to a Virginia woman who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012.
