Lenore Zann: Jamie Baillie is desperate for power

The MLA for Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River is already turning her attention to the Progressive Conservatives, saying Jamie Baillie is desperate for power.

A provincial election in Nova Scotia isn't officially underway, but Lenore Zann says in a news release on Monday that Nova Scotians should be wary that Jamie Baillie will say and promise anything to try to secure their vote.

She points to Baillie's "Ready to Win" slogan, which has been used at a number of candidate nomination meetings in recent weeks, and adds that there hasn’t been an issue that has come up that Baillie hasn’t tried to photobomb.

Zann also took a shot at the Premier, saying Stephen McNeil is suddenly spending millions of dollars across Nova Scotia to try to buy votes after three years telling the public that the province is broke.

On Sunday, Pictou West MLA Karla MacFarlane of the Progressive Conservatives sent best wishes to the NDP in a tweet.

MacFarlane said that while the two sides disagree on policy, they want to improve Nova Scotia.

Keltie Jones is the Progressive Conservative candidate in Truro-Bible Hill-Millbrook-Salmon River, with Craig Johnson set to carry the banner for the Liberals.
