License approved for Stellarton cannabis cultivation facility
A cannabis cultivation facility in Stellarton has received its licence from the federal government.
The 255,000 square foot Zenabis Global facility is now allowed to produce up to 18,500 kilograms of dried cannabis a year.
Work has already started on production of the first crop, which will be ready in a few months.
The Stellarton facility also includes areas for commercial-scale oil extractions, pharmaceutical grade manufacturing, and both plant-based and analytical research and development.
Zenabis has established distribution relationships with government and third-party retailers/distributors in nine provinces & territories; British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and the Yukon Territory.
