Local projects vying for funding in the Aviva Community Fund
The Aviva Community Fund is back, and three local projects are looking for their share of over $1 million.
The North Shore Recreation Centre in Tatamagouche wants to upgrade the dressing rooms, canteen, and bathrooms, while the Railyard Mountain Bike Park in Truro is looking for funding to put the infrastructure, signage, and marketing in place.
Both are entered in the $50,000 to $100,000 category.
The Truro Homeless Outreach Society is in the "up to $50,000" category with its Recipe for Success idea to provide essential cooking and life skills for Truro's vulnerable populations.
The initial round of voting runs until 6 p.m. on October 19th, and the way you vote has changed a little from past competitions.
Anyone registered at avivacommunityfund.org has just 18 votes, which can be used at any point during the voting round on any project or combination of projects.
