Local Salvation Army Thirft Store in search of a new home

The Salvation Army thrift store on Arthur Street in Truro has been given three months to find a new location.

Salvation Army Pastor Sarah Braye tells our newsroom she had been working on paperwork with the owner of the Halliday’s building to expand the store's sorting room.

She says she met with the owner three weeks ago for updates on the project, but was informed the thrift store would have to vacate the building.

Braye says they were initially told the building was sold, then that it wasn't.

When our newsroom contacted building owner Vic Yeadon on Wednesday, he said the building has not yet been sold but couldn't comment further.
