Man, 26, charged following indecent act in Bedford, police say

Halifax Regional Police say they have charged a man in connection with an indecent act that took place in Bedford Tuesday morning.

Police received a call around 8:30 a.m. reporting a man masturbating in his car while driving.

Officers say two women made the call after a man pulled up beside them and could be seen masturbating.

The women were able to provide a detailed description of the suspect and his vehicle, as well as his license plate number.

Police say the man's car was found unoccupied in a parking lot in the 900 block of Rocky Lake Drive and he was later arrested without incident.

Twenty-six-year-old Theodore Floyd Weare of Caledonia has been charged with one count each of committing an indecent act and breach of probation.

He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial court Wednesday to face these charges.
