Man arrested after 2 people overdose in Windsor
A Windsor man is facing drug trafficking charges after police say two men overdosed on a drug possibly laced with fentanyl.
Mounties say officers came upon a 20-year-old man in medical distress early last Saturday morning.
While attending to the man, police say a 21-year-old man began showing similar symptoms.
Believing the symptoms may have been caused by fentanyl, officers administered the life-saving antidote naloxone to both men, who were taken to hospital by paramedics.
A 38-year-old man was later arrested for trafficking in a controlled substance, and was released with a September court date.
Police say it appears the men took what they believed to be "Molly" — also known as ecstasy — but are still trying to confirm exactly what they took.
