Man assaulted with stun gun in Pugwash area

Pugwash RCMP are investigating an assault on Pugwash River Road involving a stun gun.

Police say a man arrived at a cottage just before 5 p.m. on Sunday and was met outside by one of the occupants.

An argument led to a verbal confrontation, and RCMP say the man held a stun-gun like weapon to the victim's neck, causing him to fall to the ground.

The victim, who sustained minor injuries, got up and chased the suspect, who fled the area in a darker-coloured Dodge Ram pickup truck with a white cap.

The suspect is described as a white man in his mid-30s with short dark brown hair, standing around 6' tall with a slim build, wearing a large dark coloured sweater.

Police say this is not believed to be a random act, and anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
