Man charged after car collides with home in Truro
The Truro Police Service says a 25-year-old Halifax resident has been charged under the motor vehicle act after a car collided with a home in Truro on Friday.
Truro Police and Truro Fire members responded to the intersection of Lorne and Queen Street in the evening, and found a severely damaged small compact vehicle pushed into the foundation of a nearby home.
Police say through the investigation and eye witness accounts it was determined that a motorist had driven through a red light, which caused a side impact collision and sent the vehicle into the house.
The driver of the compact car was taken to Colchester East Hants Health Authority for further assessment.
No other injuries were reported.
