Man charged after trying to cash in stolen lottery tickets in Enfield
A Dartmouth man has been charged after trying to cash in stolen lottery tickets.
The RCMP say lottery tickets and cigarettes were stolen during an early morning break-in at a Middle Sackville business last Thursday.
Police say lotto tickets were also stolen from a Lower Sackville business early Tuesday morning.
In both cases, store security footage showed one, male suspect.
An Enfield business called police Tuesday afternoon to report a man had tried to cash in stolen lottery tickets before leaving in a vehicle with a female passenger.
Witness descriptions matched the suspect from the Sackville-area break-ins and the Mounties were able to quickly track down the pair at an Elmsdale business less than 15 minutes later.
Forty-four-year-old David John Campbell is due in court Friday on break and enter charges.
The woman seen leaving the Enfield business with Campbell on Tuesday was also arrested and she's due in court May 22 on charges of possession of property obtained by crime.
