Man charged more than 3 years after Halifax homicide
Police in Halifax say a man has been charged in the death of Matthew Thomas Sudds more than three years ago.
A woman walking along Africville Road found the 24-year-old man's body in a ditch around noon on Oct. 14, 2013.
The Halifax man's death was later ruled a homicide.
Halifax Regional Police say they charged Ricardo Jerrel Whynder with first-degree murder on Friday and issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.
The 32-year-old man was arrested in Surrey, B.C., around 3:50 p.m. local time Friday.
Police say Whynder will be brought back to Nova Scotia in the coming days to answer to the charge.
