Man charged with failing to yield following New Glasgow collision

New Glasgow Regional Police say a 65-year-old woman was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a two-vehicle collision Friday morning.

Police, fire crews, and EHS responded to the scene after a 911 call just after 11 a.m.

Constable Ken MacDonald says the woman was travelling north on Abercrombie Road, while a 75-year-old man was travelling east on Elm Street.

The vehicles collided near the intersection, and had to be towed from the scene.

The man, who was not injured, has since been charged with failing to yield.
