Man grabs a woman waiting for a bus in Lower Sackville

Halifax RCMP are investigating after they say a driver tried to grab a woman waiting for a bus in Lower Sackville.

Police say the suspicious man pulled up beside her around 1 p.m. Wednesday on Sackville Drive and asked her to get into the car to help him with directions to a street in Halifax.

When she declined, the man asked her to add the information to the GPS on his phone.

She agreed, and RCMP say the man grabbed the woman's arm as he passed the phone through his passenger window, but she broke free easily.

The woman agreed. As the man passed the phone through his passenger window, he grabbed the woman's arm with a loose grip.

The man was driving a green or blue hatchback car, and is described as having short, dark hair, a dark complexion, and a thick accent that could not be distinguished.
