Marine Atlantic cancels Tuesday's ferry crossings, just one day after service resumed

Marine Atlantic has cancelled Tuesday's ferry crossings between Newfoundland from Nova Scotia, just one day after service resumed following an extended disruption.

The company says it anticipates bad weather conditions in the Cabot Straight will also impact the sailing from Port aux Basques to North Sydney on Wednesday morning.

The ferry crossings just resumed on Monday for the first time in four days after a system of intense low pressure resulted in high winds and heavy seas in the Cabot Strait.

It was the third lengthy weather-related disruption to Marine Atlantic services in as many weeks.
