More ER closures announced

The emergency room closures continue in northern Nova Scotia.

The health authority has announced several closures in Pugwash, Parrsboro and Springhill for next week.

The South Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Parrsboro will be CLOSED as follows: 
Wednesday, September 19 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, September 20 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The North Cumberland Collaborative Emergency Centre in Pugwash will be CLOSED follows:
Sunday, September 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, September 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, September 19 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (4 hours only)
Thursday, September 20 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (4 hours only)
Friday, September 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The emergency department at All Saints Springhill Collaborative Emergency Centre will be CLOSED as follows:
Sunday, September 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. 
Tuesday, September 18 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 20 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Friday, September 21 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 22 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

All of the closures are due to a lack of physician coverage.

Meanwhile, the Lillian Fraser Memorial Collaborative Emergency Centre is still on reduced hours due to a lack of nursing coverage.

The Collaborative Emergency Centre in Tatamagouche will continue to remain open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, and on Saturdays and Sundays, from 8 am to 8 pm. It will be closed overnight until the end of September.
