N.B. man arrested for drug impaired driving in a tractor-trailer
A 22-year-old New Brunswick man has been charged by Halifax District RCMP for driving a tractor-trailer impaired by drug.
Police say an off-duty officer was driving behind a tractor trailer around 3 a.m. on Friday which was swerving all over Highway 102.
The officer contacted dispatch, and when police arrived in the Goffs area they say the driver showed signs of drug impairment and failed the Drug Influence Evaluation.
The man, from Norton, was arrested and is expected to face a charge of operating a conveyance while impaired by drug.
He's scheduled to appear in Dartmouth Provincial Court at a later date.
