N.S. Community Spirit Award nominations open

Nominations are open to the 2019 Lieutenant Governor's Community Spirit Award.

Established by then Lt.-Gov. Mayann Francis in 2007, the award honours communities that "promote citizen engagement, civic pride and have a positive outlook on the future."

The lieutenant governor will visit the winning communities for a celebration and to present a hand-crafted crystal award.

The deadline to submit applications is midnight on April 30th.

Previous winners include Tatamagouche (2008), Brookfield (2009), Wallace (2013), Amherst (2014), River John (2015), and New Glasgow (2016).
