N.S. police search for two men accused of dragging 77-year-old from barn
Police in southwestern Nova Scotia are searching for two men accused of dragging a 77-year-old man from his barn and driving to a gravel pit where he was allegedly robbed.
The RCMP say the man was going into his barn in Plymouth at about 8 a.m. Thursday when he was grabbed from behind and dragged to his vehicle by two unknown men wearing masks.
They say the men forced him to hand over money and drive them to a nearby gravel pit, where they allegedly took his cellphone and threw away his keys.
Police say the suspects left on foot and the victim, who suffered a minor injury to his face, found his keys and drove home.
The RCMP used a police dog to try to find the suspects.
The men were not found, but are described as wearing black clothing and black face masks while one had a neck tattoo.
