National Status of Women Coalition meeting wraps up in Halifax with new partnership
A new partnership between the National Coalition of Provincial and Territorial Advisory Councils on the Status of Women and the Canadian Women's Foundation has marked the end of the coalition's annual meeting.
The meeting, which was held in Halifax on Tuesday and Wednesday, was hosted by the Nova Scotia Advisory Council on the Status of Women.
Government says participants discussed current challenges in achieving gender equality in their respective provinces and territories, while also sharing resources and best practices.
The coalition discussed current issues and emerging best practices in supporting women's leadership, addressing harassment, and ending gender-based violence.
The province says the meeting also ended with a renewed commitment to advancing women's leadership in Canada.
