Natural Resources minister confident expenses were appropriate
Nova Scotia's natural resources minister doesn't appear worried about an ombudsman's report on spending by municipal officials in the District of Guysborough.
Lloyd Hines says he's confident the report will find his expenses were appropriate during his time as warden of the municipality.
A draft report has been completed, but it's not known yet whether the final report will be released publicly.
Hines says he won't comment specifically on the confidential document, but adds he is "feeling great" about it.
He says he believes his constituents will find that he spent taxpayers dollars in a responsible way.
Premier Stephen McNeil hasn't read the report, but says no one has come forward to him with any concerns about wrongdoing.
