Nearly $50,000 of tires stolen from store in Lower Truro


Police say nearly $50,000 worth of tires was stolen from a store in Lower Truro last week.

Officers responded to a complaint of theft of nearly $50,000 worth of tires from a store on Robie Street, in Lower Truro.

RCMP say the incident occurred overnight between August 1 and August 2.

Police say the suspects gained entry to the fenced-in garden centre and the tires that were stolen were mostly Winter truck tires along with three kayaks and two stand-up-paddle boats were stolen as well.

The investigation has determined a moving-style truck approached the fenced-in area in the early morning hours and was there for approximately an hour.
