New branch of Nova Scotia Lands to head major health projects

A new division of Nova Scotia Lands will lead the QEII redevelopment project and the recently announced CBRM Health Care Redevelopment Plan.

In a news release, the provincial government says it was determined after considerable review that departments did not have appropriate capacity and expertise to deliver these projects in a timely manner.

The new Health Capital Delivery branch of Nova Scotia Lands will have a dedicated project team with around $6 million budgeted annually for the duration of the projects.

The new branch will report to the departments of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal and Health and Wellness.
