New Chinese airline welcomed to Halifax
(CP) - A Chinese cargo airline will soon start carrying Nova Scotia lobsters and other seafood to China.
The Halifax International Airport Authority says Yangtze River Express Airlines will use freighter aircraft to handle five chartered cargo flights during the month of January.
The authority says more than $15 million worth of Nova Scotia seafood has already been shipped overseas this holiday season from Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
That number is expected to increase to around $25 million by the end of January, when Chinese New Year is being celebrated.
