New Glasgow crash sends motorcyclist to hospital in critical condition
Police say a motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital in critical condition after a three-vehicle crash in New Glasgow, N.S.
A New Glasgow Regional Police spokesperson says the collision happened on North Provost Street around 5:45 p.m. Friday.
Constable Ken Macdonald says a northbound pickup truck collided with a southbound motorcycle while trying to make a left-hand turn.
Macdonald says the motorcycle then hit a car travelling behind the truck.
He says the 26-year-old man driving the motorcycle was taken to the Aberdeen Hospital, and later airlifted to Halifax in critical condition.
The 34-year-old man driving the car suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the 50-year-old man driving the truck was not hurt.
Macdonald says the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
